Travel Manager

The Quotation template and PDF is undergoing a major redesign at the moment so based on some great feedback we’re adding the ability to add Custom Fees as standard to your quotes. This custom fees can be specific surcharges that may apply to your area or fees that are company policy e.g. A fee for having a restroom / lavatory on the vehicle.

As these charges maybe standard across the majority of your quotes, you can now have them as default fees that will appear automatically. As with everything with the templates you can overide a standard option on a per quote basis. This should really help insuring that you’re billing as consistently as possible as well as avoiding any possible confusion with your customers.

The new EasyBusRental.com website powered by TravelManager has been extremely well received at the ABA Marketplace event in Gaylord National Hotel & Conference Center . All the Tour Operators and Group Transport buyers we’ve met over the last few days are really excited about using the service. The common message we’re hearing is the difficulty they have finding good companies in different areas and that the typical quote response times are in days rather than hours.

There’s a huge opportunity for Bus Operators to get more business from National buyers if they provide quality information on their profiles. Our focus over the next few weeks is improve the quality of our existing Bus Operators profile information to move the site from Beta to version 1.0 at the next major event (UMA Motorcoach Expo).

**Version 2.0 will include real-time online booking later in the year.

We will be announcing our new website on the 11st January 2010 – so watch this space icon wink Exciting New Project Launching in January

We believe you should be able to get your products and services out to the widest audience possible. Thats why TravelManager has launched the first of many niche websites servicing the local community. Bus Charter New York ( http://www.buscharter-new-york.com/ ) provides the richest set of information on bus and motor coach operators in the New York area.

Searching for a reputable motor coach company becomes childs play:

Rich multimedia results mean the best companies can really shine and the customer can appreciate what makes that company stand out from the crowd. Motorcoach operators can upload photographs, videos and detailed information about their business.

We think this and the other members of the Bus Charter America Network will prove a hit with customers and provide operators with a valuable resource in which to display their wares.

It would seem Global Charter Services Ltd (aka BusBank) thought it was a real bank and has followed some of the worlds great and the good in the financial sector. News reaches us that BusBank has filed for Chapter 11.  Their website still seems to be up and running but they haven’t posted on their blog since 24th April 2009 (they used to post very regularly) – so maybe its been in place a while and its been a long time coming.

They have between 200 to 999 creditors with total liabilities between $1m and $10m. Seems like they also owe Coach USA $1m and plenty of operators between $35k and $90k each. Ouch!
