Mike Sadler, Chief Executive
As CEO and founder of TravelManager. Mike is a true entrepreneur. Prior to TravelManager, he built up Beaumont Travel into a leading private hire, bus and coach company in Gloucester, England. He has an impressive track record in start up technology-based services. For nearly a decade, he ensured Beaumont Travel was at the forefront of key industry developments through web based applications and services.

Alex Zang

Alex Zang, Senior Technical Architect
As Senior Technical Architect, Alex is a key member of the TravelManager team. Alex holds a Degree in Computing Science from Nankai University, China, a Masters Degree in Computing from Warwick University, England and is currently completing a PhD in Web Based Applications at the University of Gloucestershire, England.

Alex has over 10 years experience in developing scalable web based applications.

Eamonn Hughes

Eamonn Hughes, President of European & North American Operations

As President of European & North American Operations, Eamonn is responsible for the strategic direction and implementation of all non UK based services. He has both technical expertise combined industry insight acquired while working 5 seasons for Irish Coaches a leading Coach Operator based in Dublin and founder of the marketing group 32 Counties Coaches; a quality network with over 250 Vehicles.

Eamonn is currently Head of the Technology committee for the Global Passenger Network, an international organisation of quality Coach, Bus & Chauffeur operators covering North America, Europe and Asia. Conor Gildea

Conor Gildea, President of Integration Services

Conor is responsible for all 3rd party strategy and development. As the chief architect for our GPS solution, he’s instrumental in the innovation behind TravelManager’s growth into emerging markets. He holds a Bachelor of Computer Science degree from Blanchardstown, Institute of Technology and an MSc in Computer Science.

Our Infrastructure

Our infrastructure uses the same technology as companies such as Google & Yahoo! use to power their sites. We use Linux on DELL and IBM branded servers, making sure we have a fully redundanct and resilient set up in place with enough bandwidth to cope with the most demanding of situations. We have servers located in London & Paris, with further servers being deployed in New York and Amsterdam shortly.

We host our servers with carrier class network providers who guarantee 99.99% uptime and availability. All of our network providers have secure facilities where your data is guaranteed to be safe.

We back up your data in encrypted format daily to offsite facilities. Our document management systems and backup solutions use Amazon’s S3 service which means its sat on the same infrastructure as many leading websites including Amazon’s website.

We operate our infrastructure so as to ensure you can get access to your data any time of the day 24/7. We run healthchecks on our platform every 15mins to ensure that we know about issues and solve them before you even notice them.

How many businesses do you have using TravelManager?

As of May 2009, there are over 700 businesses using TravelManager. They range from small operators to large community transport initiatives. We have private hire companies, bus and coach operators and we even have businesses which have their own minibuses for internal transportation.

TravelManager has been developed so that it can be used by a wide range of businesses and be adapted to their own requirements.

For example, we have a number of estate agents using the software to plan their routes for putting up / taking down the “For Sale” signs outside properites.

What are the terms of the 30 day FREE trial?
The terms are fairly straightforward. You sign up. You don’t need to put in any payment details. You use the software for 30 days. If you like it we transfer your account to a subscription account and then you pay us. If you don’t want to use the software, we simply de-activate your account.

We have tried to make it as easy as possible for you to try our software. During the trial period you are still eligible for all of the free training and support calls. So what have you got to loose?

How can you offer this software so cheaply?
All of our software is developed using Internet technologies (the same technologies that Google and Yahoo! use), so we don’t have to pay expensive licensing fees to third parties. We don’t spend lots of money on advertising and marketing or expensive PR agencies. We don’t rent expensive fancy offices.

Instead we opt to keep our costs down and pass on those savings to our subscribers. We own our own premises in Gloucester. We develop our own code on top of industry leading open source technologies. We get new customers via word of mouth / referral and via this website. We keep our business model simple. We know how much it really costs to develop software and we share those costs amongst literally hundreds of businesses so that everyone gets their software at a fraction of the costs of alternative solutions.
