As mentioned previously, we are currently in the development phase of the online tours booking facility.  We are looking to launch this functionality on 5th July 2008. This will enable you to publish your tours not only your own website but also on our website and on any other website through our unique widget.

We will also start advertising your tours on your behalf through our aggregator site during July at no additional cost.

We anticipate that this site will be the largest online coach tours aggregator site by the end of the year – if you want to be one of the first operatorsto take advantage of this unique opportunity of free advertising and increase customer traffic from Google etc.. then we recommend that you enter your tour information into the tours module before 5th July.

We believe in operating our business using the most innovative and creative technologies available. Thats why we are an Internet only business and are developing our solution to work with Apple iPhone and Googles new Android mobile phone platform.

However, we also believe in sharing – so from today we are opening up our software with a number of API’s that developers or businesses can use to enhance their use of TravelManager or to build their own functionality within TravelManager.

The tours widget is now in development. This is similar to the online qouting widget or the customer feedback in that you can put the widget on your own company website with no technical knowledge in less than 5 minutes.

The widget opens up all sorts of possibilties for you to increase revenue.

You will be able to publish your complete tours list online from within your website and allow customers to see full tour details including but not limited to:-

  • Tour itinary
  • Tour photos
  • Tour pricing and availability

You will be able to categorise your tours. eg. Day Trips, Weekend Breaks, Eurpoean Travel etc.. and choose whether you would like the tour published or not.

We will then be working on additional features such as allowing you to show tour feedback from previous customers etc..

Any operator taking advantage of this widget will also be listed in the independent site www.coachtourstoday.com for FREE which will be launched during July 2008.

Apple this week announced the next version of the iPhone to be launched on 11th July 2008 with full 3G (Fast access to the Internet on your mobile) and GPS capabilities for $199 / £149.

Thats a pretty remarkable price point for what is in affect a computer in your pocket, especially when linked to the TravelManager widgets available.

Imagine the following scenarios:-

  • being able to see real-time traffic on your mobile
  • being able to not only get directions if there is a diversion but also get the additional costs associated with Fuel so you can pass on any costs to your contracted customer
  • being able interact with partners, customers and suppliers in real-time from anywhere

At £149 is viable to purchase one for each driver when you consider they get a mobile phone, PDA, GPS and access to the Internet and everything that brings all in one handy package.

The next 6 months promises to be very interesting indeed and its why we at TravelManager are committed to using the best products and services available to bring you the best possible solution in the market place today and tomorrow.

The prestigous International Motorcoach Group (www.imgcoach.com) is now using TravelManager for its quotation engine online. IMG has nearly 60 members in North America operating over 7000 vehicles providing over a million charters / private hires per annum.

TravelManager is working closely with IMG and our US partners uTrack (www.utrack.com) on taking their online prescence to the next level.

We have had a significant number of chauffeur companies adopt travelmanager, so many in fact that we have decided to build a specific version just for the chauffeur industry.  It is currently in a closed trial with a number of our subscribers and will be launched to the community within the next 3 weeks.

Chauffeur Manager has been aimed at small driver / owner businesses all the way up to large chauffeur companies running hundreds of vehicles.

We have a number of airlines using the application right now and we believe this is the way forward for the VIP end of the market in such a competitive industry as air passenger transport.

We have now started the planning phase of the Apple iPhone application that will compliment TravelManager, so you will soon be able to get access to all of your favourite features of TravelManager from your mobile phone anywhere in the world.

Imagine the possibilities. Not only will you be able to recieve and email or SMS when a quote come through from your website but you will actually be able to respond to that quote with a price and availability within minutes even if you are sat on the beach. Customer service in the bus and coach industry will never be the same again icon smile iPhone Application now in planning phase
